Next Steps

All eligible Members must verify their identity in order to receive a ballot. 

Verification will take place using an online system where you will provide your identification and take a photograph of yourself.

Here is what is coming up:

April 27 — If you are an eligible member, you will receive an email with a link to verify your identity online through our secure verification provider, Persona. This step is mandatory to receive a ballot.

Complete your identity verification at any time using the link in that email. You will need a government-issued ID that confirms your name, photo, and current address, and a photo will be taken of you to verify against the identification you submit.

Once the race is over, all data associated with your verification will be destroyed.

Once you have verified your identity, your voting credentials will be sent to you electronically via email on an ongoing basis starting after May 9.

The deadline to verify is May 20 at 11:59 pm PT.

May 23 to May 29 — Cast your vote online using our secure voting system, Simply Voting. 

Voting opens May 23 at 8:00 am PT and closes May 29 at 8:00 am PT.

Your voting credentials and instructions will be sent directly to your email in May.

May 30 — The results will be announced at the Leadership Convention in Vancouver.
