VANCOUVER, BC – Eby NDP candidate for Powell River-Sunshine Coast Randene Neill – currently a minister in David Eby’s cabinet – showed the NDP’s true colours and declared her opposition to LNG projects:

Q: Will you be a strong voice in caucus against new LNG projects?

NEILL: Yes. Yes, yes, yes. We don’t need any more LNG projects in this province at all.

“We all know that the Eby NDP has never truly supported natural resource development, including LNG,” said Larry Neufeld, Conservative Party of BC candidate for Peace River South. “Now we have one of David Eby’s current cabinet ministers declaring that she will fight new LNG projects. If David Eby disagrees with his candidate, he should immediately announce that if elected, Neill will not sit in the NDP cabinet nor caucus.”

“The Conservative Party of BC, under the leadership of Lorne Doerkson, have a clear plan to supercharge LNG development. For British Columbians interested in getting our economy moving again, the choice couldn’t be clearer,” added Neufeld.
