VICTORIA, B.C.: The B.C. Conservative Caucus met from July 2-3 in Penticton, where Hon. Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Leader of the Conservative Party of B.C., laid out a positive vision for the party and province.

“The caucus is united under Ms. Findlay’s leadership and is ready to form government,” said Heather Maahs, Interim Leader of the Opposition. “The B.C. Conservative Party, with Kerry-Lynne Findlay as leader, is single-minded with one goal; taking government and removing the NDP extremists from having the power that has destroyed the B.C. economy and small businesses and has driven away many of the best and the brightest from our province.”

The Conservative Caucus is more united than it has ever been, and all Conservative MLAs fully support the leadership of Ms. Findlay, including former leadership contestant Peter Milobar and former leader John Rustad.

“Our caucus meeting was very productive, and now our focus is squarely on the path forward,” said Sheldon Clare, Official Opposition House Leader. “Over the last decade, the NDP have done tremendous damage to B.C. It is our responsibility to ensure they cannot continue their disastrous mismanagement. We will hold them to account at every opportunity, and when the time comes for an election, we will be ready to form government and get to work fixing the mess the NDP have left behind.”

The caucus meeting also provided an opportunity to meet with local Penticton stakeholders, which resulted in some productive conversations on issues facing Penticton and the Okanagan.

“I am so proud of this Conservative team and greatly value and appreciate their support,” said Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay. “All of B.C.’s people groups and regions are represented in this diverse caucus, and we will work tirelessly for all British Columbians. Our caucus is full of MLAs who are knowledgeable and passionate about their shadow minister portfolios, and I know that we have what it takes to successfully govern B.C. and restore prosperity to this great province.”
