VICTORIA, B.C.: In the face of strong pressure from the B.C. Conservatives and concerned parents, B.C. has finally discontinued funding for SOGI 123.

The B.C. Conservatives have consistently called for the end of SOGI 123, which injects radical gender ideology into classrooms while keeping parents in the dark. The push to restore common sense in B.C. classrooms is paying off, as the government has ended funding for the Arc Foundation, which developed and promotes SOGI.

“This is an important win for B.C. schools,” said Lynne Block, Shadow Minister for Education. “With the end of SOGI, schools can get back to focusing on preparing students to succeed in life, and parents won’t have to worry as much about what their children are being taught. But while I welcome the decision to stop funding this wasteful and harmful program, the NDP have already proven that they cannot be trusted with B.C.’s students. Only a Conservative government can be trusted to restore sanity and protect children.”

“I am very proud of this victory against radical gender ideology,” said Hon. Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Leader of the Conservative Party of B.C. “The B.C. Conservatives refused to back down in the fight against SOGI, and parents from all around the province made it clear that this program was unacceptable, and now our efforts have paid off. As the NDP sinks lower in the polls and faces a wipeout, they had no choice but to give in to the pressure and stop funding their indoctrination program. I will always stand up for parental rights and the protection of B.C.’s children, and a Conservative government will build on this victory and restore common sense to our school system.”
