Garry Purewal

CANDIDATE FOR Surrey-Fleetwood

Garry Purewal is the Conservative Party of BC candidate for Surrey-Fleetwood.

Garry is a business owner, entrepreneur, and community volunteer with more than 20 years of experience in business leadership, public service and community involvement.

Garry’s commitment to service began in uniform. As a Military Police member with the Canadian Armed Forces, he learned the discipline, integrity and sense of duty that have guided him ever since. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of public safety and of what it takes to keep communities secure.x

After his military service, Garry built a career in business, owning and managing companies including a property restoration business. Running his own business has taught him what every small business owner in British Columbia knows: how hard it is to meet a payroll, keep costs down and grow when government makes it more expensive to do business every year.

Garry has also given his time to the next generation as a leader in youth sports, and has been active in community advocacy and political engagement, working with neighbours and local organizations on the issues that matter most to families.

That experience has given Garry a clear view of the challenges facing families, business owners and communities, and a strong commitment to public safety, responsible government, economic opportunity and effective public policy.
