Keenan Adams has called Port Coquitlam home since 2010, where he lives with his wife, Florence.
That same year, Keenan graduated from the Railway Conductor program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and began a career in the local railroad industry. Through hard work and dedication, he advanced from conductor to locomotive engineer, and today he helps train the next generation of railway workers. His career has given him a firsthand understanding of the industry that keeps goods, jobs, and the Lower Mainland moving.
Alongside his work on the railway, Keenan pursued further education in public relations. He also serves as Local President of Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Local 320, where he represents his fellow workers and advocates for safe, fair and well-paying jobs. His leadership in the labour movement reflects a simple belief: working people deserve a strong voice, both on the job and in government.
Keenan is deeply invested in his community. He volunteers frequently with the PoCo Lions Club, takes part in the City of Port Coquitlam’s Adopt-A-Spot program and joins local river cleanups to help keep the city’s natural spaces clean and healthy for families to enjoy.
