Ryan Peterson is the Conservative Party of BC candidate for Coquitlam–Burke Mountain.
Ryan is a job creator who has spent his career building businesses in British Columbia. In 2011, he co-founded Finger Food Studios in Port Coquitlam and grew it into a technology company with 200 good local jobs, helping some of the world’s largest companies, from LEGO and Microsoft to PACCAR, solve their toughest problems. Finger Food was named B.C. Exporter of the Year in 2017.
Ryan and his wife of 17 years, Monica, have lived in the Tri-Cities since 2014, where they are raising their three boys in local public schools. Monica runs Apex Fencing in Port Moody. Ryan believes he lives in the greatest place on earth, and he’s making sure his boys know it too. From early-morning hockey practices to fishing trips up the coast and ski days in the mountains, he’s taking them to every edge of British Columbia.
After Finger Food was acquired by Unity Technologies, Ryan led a global division of more than 1,000 people, including its advanced technology and AI teams. He now backs early-stage technology companies, several of them in B.C., and the jobs they create. In 2026, B.C.’s business leaders elected him Chair of the Business Council of British Columbia; he has stepped away from that role to seek election. Ryan was named Tri-Cities Business Leader of the Year in 2019, received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025, and serves on the board of the Rick Hansen Foundation.
