DECADE OF DISASTER

Say “NO” to this BC NDP Budget

The BC NDP just presented the worst budget in our history, alongside the worst deficit in our history.

  • Deficit projection: $13 billion—The worst in history.
  • Debt projection: $182 billion—The worst in history and more than triple what it was when the NDP took power.

Where has the money gone?  Who is this budget for? Let’s take a look.

  • Seniors will now be taxed on cable and landline phone services.
  • Property tax deferrals are becoming more expensive, making it harder for seniors to stay in their homes.
  • At the same time, the government is slowing the development of long-term care facilities, limiting options for those who can’t afford rising costs.
  • If you’re in the lowest tax bracket, your income taxes are going up.
  • Families with autistic children could see critical funding cut, after the government broke its promise to support up to 10,000 children.
  • Small business owners will now pay PST on professional services, including accounting.
  • If your business is already struggling with rampant crime, and you need to hire private security to stay open, you’ll now pay a new tax on that, too.

Who is this budget for?

Hidden in their budget, the NDP have moved to eliminate the only independent watchdog preventing partisan hiring, clearing the path to reward political friends and insiders without oversight.

This office exists for one reason: to stop governments from stacking the public service with political friends and insiders and now Eby wants it gone.

We already know Eby has a problem with rewarding his friends and trying to hide it. Now, he wants to get rid of the referee.

Not on our watch. Sign the petition now and Stand Against the Decade of Disaster
