VICTORIA, B.C.: John Rustad, Leader of the Conservative Official Opposition, has announced the updated critic portfolios for the Conservative Caucus — a strong, experienced team ready to take on Premier David Eby’s radical and destructive agenda.

“This is a team built for the fight ahead,” said Rustad. “British Columbians are facing a government that is obsessed with ideology, red tape, and reckless spending — while our communities struggle with crime, collapsing health care, housing chaos, and the total collapse of business confidence. Our critics are experienced, passionate, and focused on delivering common-sense solutions and restoring a government the delivers on what British Columbians desperately need.”

The updated critic roster ensures focused oversight across every ministry, with particular attention on health care, affordability, public safety, jobs, and economic growth. Conservative MLAs are committed to holding the NDP government to account, exposing waste and mismanagement, and standing up for everyday British Columbians.

“Our job as the Official Opposition is clear — to stand up for families, small businesses, and communities that this government has left behind,” Rustad added. “From skyrocketing deficits and insider contracts to ideological land policies that undermine property rights, British Columbians deserve a government that works for them — not against them.”

Under Rustad’s leadership, the Conservative Caucus has grown into the province’s strongest voice for common sense — opposing NDP policies that punish small businesses, erode local decision-making, and fuel disorder and chaos in our streets. With this new critic team in place, Conservatives are ready to lead the fight for a safer, stronger, more prosperous British Columbia.
