Ayla Dumais was raised in Squamish, BC and is a proud member of Prophet River First Nation.
Ayla has built her career in public policy, stakeholder relations and Indigenous affairs. She currently works in the Office of the Leader of the Official Opposition as a Policy and Stakeholder Relations Advisor, where she has worked across files including Indigenous relations, property rights natural resources, the environment, economic development, youth, and more. Her work has brought her together with constituents, Indigenous leaders, businesses, industry, advocacy organizations, and community leaders across British Columbia and Canada.
Before entering the public policy field, Ayla worked in community relations with Woodfibre LNG in Squamish, where she gained firsthand experience with the opportunities that responsible resource development and strong relationships with local and Indigenous communities can bring to British Columbia.
For Ayla, this campaign is about being a voice for the next generation of British Columbians who worry about their ability to stay in this beautiful province. She will be a strong voice for West Vancouver–Sea to Sky in defense of property rights, affordability, healthcare, and education.
