Kris McNichol is the BC Conservative candidate for Ladysmith-Oceanside.
Kris and his wife, Sheryl, have made their home in the Parksville and Nanoose Bay area for more than 30 years. They raised three daughters in the community and are now grandparents.
For the past 25 years, Kris and Sheryl have built and run CPI Equipment, a Nanoose Bay-based pumps, piping and water systems business serving homes, farms and aquaculture operations across the region. Growing the company from the ground up has given Kris a firsthand understanding of what it takes to meet a payroll, cut through red tape and keep good jobs in the community.
Kris has spent as much time giving back as he has building his business. He coaches the Rage softball team, serves as president of the Oceanside Minor Softball Association, and previously led the Sproat Lake Water Sports Association. He is also a volunteer firefighter.
Kris ran for the federal Conservatives in Courtenay-Alberni in 2025, an experience that sharpened his sense of the challenges families across the Island face: the rising cost of housing and everyday life, strain on the healthcare system, worsening public safety, and a regulatory burden that makes it harder to run a business. He’s running provincially with the same message: government spending needs to be accountable, and leadership needs to focus on results.
