Sacha is a Chartered Professional Accountant specializing in corporate taxation. Born and raised in Richmond, where he still lives, he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and is the father of two teenage sons. Peter will be a strong advocate for Richmond.
Since 2009, Sacha has written about Canadian finance, economics, politics and the ups and downs of investing in the capital markets at Divestor.com. He also hosts the Late Night Finance show.
Sacha’s record of public service reflects a deep commitment to accountability. He has served on many boards and committees, most notably the Cultus Lake Park Board. Elected twice, he served for six years, including three as Chair, and led the board in eliminating its budget deficit.
As the MLA for Richmond Centre, Sacha will scrutinize the provincial budget the way he has scrutinized publicly traded companies for nearly two decades: following the numbers, demanding accountability and exposing waste wherever he finds it.
