Vancouver, BC – The Conservative Party of BC’s Election Readiness Committee announced today that they have approved every sitting member of the Conservative Party of BC’s caucus to run as a candidate in the 2026 provincial election.

Every MLA in the Conservative Party of BC’s caucus will carry the party’s banner into this campaign. While David Eby called a snap election to distract from his own record, the Conservative Party of BC is entering this campaign as one united team, with one plan, ready to govern and bring the change British Columbians desperately need.

Under David Eby, British Columbia’s credit rating has been downgraded eight times since 2023, more than any other province in the country. The deficit has climbed to $13.8 billion. Thousands of forestry jobs have been lost, more are threatened by Trump’s bullying of our country and province, unemployment is rising. The Conservative Party of BC is united and will run on a clear plan to get the economy working for British Columbians, repeal DRIPA, and end the ideological politics that have divided communities across the province.

The Conservative Party of BC also extends its deepest thanks to John Rustad, who has decided not to seek re-election. Under his leadership, our party grew from less than two percent of the vote to Official Opposition. The Conservative Party of BC would never have reached where it is today without his conviction, hard work and willingness to stand up when few others would. We wish him and his family all the very best in the years ahead.
